用途：酒精计主要用于酿酒厂，单位以及化工厂。以各种食用酒与酒精溶液中酒精含量的测定。
使用方法
测量酒精酒度通常用酒精表，酒精表又称酒精比重计。酒精表是根据酒精浓度不同，比重不同，浮体沉入酒液中排开 酒液的体积不同的原理而制造的。当酒精计放入酒液中时，酒的浓度越高，酒精计下沉也越多，比重也越小；反之，酒的浓度越低，酒精计下沉也越少，比重也越大。
测量浓度时，将部分酒精倒入量筒中，注意不要倒得过满，再把温度表和酒精表放入量筒里不要贴筒壁，稍等片刻，目光平视看准温度与酒度，通过《酒度、温度换算表》，然后查出标准(20℃的酒度)。使用酒精计测量酒度时，应注意：由于表面张力的原因，酒精表面与酒精计长轴的接触处会出现弯月面。因此，我们在读数时，应以水平面为准。
